The practice is proud to support medical education and host medical students as part of their training in Primary Care.
Medical students undertake placements with us to gain valuble experience. With your consent, a medical student may:
- Observe your consultation, or
- Conduct the consultation themselves under the close supervision of a GP
If you would prefer not to be seen by a medical student, please let reception know when booking. Your care will not be affected in any way.
Doctors in Further Training
The practice also supports the GP Training Scheme.
This means we have fully qualified doctors working with us who are undertaking additional specialist training in General Practice. These doctors:
- Are fully registered and qualified
- See and manage patients independently
- Are supported and supervised by experienced GPs
They are with the practice for six or twelve-month placements, working either full-time or part-time.
