Non-urgent advice: ADHD/ASD Referral
Over the last year we have noticed an increase in the number of referrals for ADHD/ASD. Should you suspect that your child may have ADHD/ASD please follow this link: https://www.suffolklocaloffer.org.uk/health-and-wellbeing/autism-adhd-and-neurodevelopment/the-east-west-suffolk-ndd-pathway.
The Suffolk ND pathway will guide you through the correct process for a referral and provides some useful resources in supporting and navigating neurodivergence.
Non-urgent advice: Specimens
If you are bringing a specimen to the practice to be sent for testing, please hand it to reception before lunchtime so it can be included in the pathology collection.
Please ensure that:
- The specimen is in the correct specimen container provided by the practice or pharmacy
- The container is securely closed and not a glass bottle or alternative container
- The container is clearly labelled with your full name and date of birth
- The specimen has been collected as instructed
Please do not leave specimens in the repeat prescriptions box. We cannot confirm how long they have been there, which may affect sample quality and result in the laboratory being unable to process the specimen.
From 1st August: If you think you have a urine infection (UTI) and wish to bring a urine sample to the surgery, please complete an eConsult before or at the same time as bringing your sample to reception. Please hand urine samples directly to reception only – do not leave them in the letter box or prescription box. This does not apply if we have specifically asked you to provide a urine sample (e.g. for monitoring or a hospital request). Thank you, Mendlesham Medical Group.
