GP surgeries in Suffolk no longer accept used sharps boxes from patients due to updated clinical waste contract rules and NHS guidelines. Patients must now arrange disposal through local council collection services or check with participating community pharmacies

Sharps and needles should never be placed in any wheeled bin and should always be securely contained (in a sharps container)
